What is tapas?

Tapas is simply a small snack or appetizer taken with a drink or two at lunchtime or in the early evening before the main meal.way?

 

Why  Eat This Way?

Tapas is essentially a style of eating rather than a form of cooking. It means sociability, friends and family. People of a like minds talking and drinking in a relaxed atmosphere while nibbling away on little bites of intense flavor. You can keep it simple or you can make it as complicated as you like but whichever way you prefer it, tapas is best served with an early evening drink among friends and lively company.

Manhattans Sirloin Steak - $6
Char-grilled sirloin steak topped with sautéed mushrooms, roasted red peppers, crumbled blue cheese, then broiled.

Italian Sausage Cake - $4
Fresh hand made ground Italian sausage mixed with gorgonzola and banana peppers, onions and spices, breaded with seasoned cracker crumbs then pan fried and topped with gorgonzola remoulade.

Seafood Bisque - $7
Made fresh to order, shrimp & scallops sautéed with garlic, mushrooms and scallions flambéed with brandy and finished with seafood volute and heavy cream.

French Steak & Onion Soup Au Gratin - $3
Classic French onion with the great taste of fire roasted steak topped with aged asiago crostini and a blend of cheeses.

Steak Oscar - $9
Pan seared sirloin with shallots, mushrooms, asparagus and shrimp. Topped with brie and hollandaise.

Popeye Chicken - $4
Chicken breast char-grilled topped with spinach, garlic, provolone and asiago cheese then baked.

Manhattan Crab Stuffed Mushroom - $4
Tender larger mushrooms stuffed with our fresh crab stuffing and topped with sherry hollandaise sauce.

Purple Popeye - $4
Crispy breaded eggplant topped with spinach, roasted red pepper, provolone, and asiago cheese then drizzled with honey Dijon sauce.

Lobster Mac & Cheese - $10
Lobster tail meat sautéed with tomatoes, basil, garlic and shallots in a creamy 3 cheese sauce (sharp white cheddar, Havarti and pepper jack). Tossed with penne pasta, topped with cheddar cheese then baked.

Seafood Francesca - $10
Shrimp, scallops, lobster tossed with artichoke hearts, butter, wine and garlic, covered with bread crumbs and asiago cheese then baked.

Shrimp or Scallop Scampioni - $8
Shrimp or scallops sautéed with mushrooms, scallions, shallots, tomatoes, garlic and roasted red peppers in a parmigiano butter lemon sauce.

Scallop Au Gratin - $8
Sea scallop sautéed with shallots in a creamy 3 cheese sauce topped with season bread crumbs and broiled.

Three Cheese Garlic Bread - $4
Cheddar, provolone, and asiago cheese melted over a French baguette with garlic butter.

Popeye Chicken - $4
Chicken Breast char-grilled with spinach, garlic, provolone and asiago cheese and baked.

Char-Grilled Salmon - $7
Fresh fillet of salmon char-grilled on a bed of cranberry walnut cole slaw and drizzled with honey dijon sauce.

Fried Ravioli - $4
Hand breaded cheese filled raviolis and lightly fried. Served with a sauteed spinach and olive marinara sauce.

Shrimp or Scallop Scampioni - $8
Sauteed with mushrooms, scallions, shallots, tomatoes, garlic and roasted red peppers, in a asiago butter lemon sauce.

Smothered Popeye Steak - $6
Sirloin steak char-grilled, with sauteed mushrooms, spinach, and provolne cheese. Served on a garlic toasted baguette.
